The weather played havoc with the Fishmaniak Angling Club competition organised on Lough Muckno at White Island on Sunday the 22nd May. Torrential downpours and gale force winds made angling very difficult indeed and discouraged many anglers from travelling. Fishing took place from 7am to 1pm. 15 anglers fished and results were disappointing to say the least. However, the dificult conditions did not curb the enthusiastic anglers who took part in the event. Pawel Orlow who fished the event reported that fishing at the competition wasn't the best.

Positions in the event were as follows 1st place - Stu6-60 1,33 kg. 2nd place - Paluszczak 1,02 kg. 3rd place - Maciek1 0,77 kg. David Byrne from IFI attended the event and as always was warmly received by the group. The competition gives the lads an opportunity to get together every so often to engage in something that they all love love to do. There is a great sense of family and plenty of craic and fishing talk. The usual litter pick was conducted after the event none of which belonged to the lads.
Thanks and well done to the Fishmaniak Polish Angling Club on another successful event.
